Change Master Gunnery Sgt. Marbury to Marines stationed at MCLB Albany.
YBH participants and campers participate in Martial Arts as a form of exercise. The program has been taught by volunteer martial arts instructor trainer, Master Gunnery Sgt. John Marbury (and other Marines at MCLB Albany) and JaWaun Stanley, currently a high school student and son of a retired Marine. JaWaun earned his black belt in TaeKwonDo at the age of 11 and has been featured on the Cartoon Network's Props. In addition to participating in track, football, basketball and baseball at his school, he still volunteers with YBH and at his local church.  JaWaun is also a Navy Junior Reserved Officer Training Corps cadet with plans to become a Marine Corps Officer after graduation.

Mrs. Huthinson retired from Palmyra Medical Centers, one of YBH's founding sponsors. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching the youth about the importance of eating healthy, making better food choices, label reading and how to make healthy snacks.

YBH hosted its fourth annual Summer Wellness Camp.  This FREE camp was created at the request of parents and local pediatricians in order to provide "summer intervention" for youth ages 8 - 16 who were at a higher risk of becoming more obese and ill during the summer months.  All participants are referred by their pediatrician and receive intensive but fun physical activity programs, dietary education and are monitored by their doctors.  It is held at an undisclosed location for six weeks between June and July and ends with a reward trip to one of Georgia's Theme Parks and back-to-school supplies.
